Petty Knowes Cottage is the quintessential rural hideaway for couples. Perched above the small village of Rochester it commands breathtaking uninterrupted views across the Northumberland National Park. Only a 30 minute drive from Newcastle, making it a perfect location to explore Northumberland and Newcastle. Built from attractive stone, the property has been renovated to offer cosy and immaculately presented accommodation for a real country cottage getaway. Assessed by visit Britain the cottage has been awarded a four star gold award.  Petty Knowes Cottage is all about relaxation and self indulgence, the perfect place for you and your loved one to have a cheeky weekend break away.

Being located in the heart of northumberland National Park cyclists and dog owners are very welcome. Cycle storage can be arranged.

The contemporary kitchen is very well equipped. The spacious bedroom at the end of the building boasts a majestic king size sleigh bed.  Guests have private use of a garden with decked area, and use of a Hot Tub which is located on the owners side of the property, this is the perfect place from which to watch the sun set.

'The Gin Room' is a perfect little hidden gem where you can snuggle down on a sheepskin daybed, have a glass of something relaxing and watch the wild Northumbrian weather roll past.

The property has oil central heating and comprises:

Lounge: With open fire, 42" TV with freeview, DVD player and selection of DVDs, Bluetooth speaker, Wi-fi.

Kitchen: With electric oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.  

Dining Area: With fold out dining table and chairs for two.

Bedroom: With king sized sleigh bed, Egyptian cotton bedding, log burning stove, Freeview 42"TV, & Wi-fi.

Shower Room: With corner shower cubicle, WC and wash basin. Robes and slippers are provided.

Facilities: All oil, electricity, bed linen and towels included. All logs and coal are provided. Cot and high chair available. Wi-fi throughout. There is a private garden area with decked area and outdoor seating. Pets are welcome although please be aware there is livestock in surrounding fields and hens and cats roam freely.

Off road parking. We would recommend you bring walking boots/wellies.
