THE ULTIMATE OUT OF OFFICE ONE DAY ADVENTURE

North East business rivals are set to go head to head in a brand new corporate challenge, deep in the heart of Kielder Forest.

Entries are now open for Kielder Quest, a Krypton Factor style corporate team challenge event that will raise much needed funds for Northumberland based charity, Calvert Trust Kielder.

The trust, which provides challenging outdoor adventure holidays for disabled people, is inviting organisations to take part in physical and mental challenges in the new fundraising event.

On Friday 8 March, business colleagues from across the region will compete in a series of instructor led challenges, including high ropes, laser clay shooting and climbing, all in the beautiful surroundings of Kielder Water & Forest Park. The winning team will be crowned champion, taking home the ‘Kielder Quest Trophy’.

To help launch the new event for the Trust, Northumbrian Water is the main sponsor and will be offering volunteers to help out on the day.

Philippa Clark from Northumbrian Water said:
“We’re delighted to support the Kielder Quest event to help raise vital funds for Calvert Trust Kielder. The charity ensures thousands of disabled people are able to enjoy outdoor activities, together with their families and friends, every year. As both organisations are part of Kielder Water & Forest Park Development Trust, a registered charity working at Kielder to promote sustainable development and provide recreational facilities, it’s great to help a fellow member, and to attract even more visitors to the stunning destination of Kielder Water & Forest Park.”

Hazel Ditchburn from Calvert Trust Kielder said:
“It is hoped that Kelder Quest will raise over £10,000 for the Trust. I would like to thank Northumbrian Water for its help in making the event possible. We rely on support from local businesses to help us to continue to provide our often life changing service.”

Entry costs £500 for a team of six people, which includes activities, refreshments on arrival and lunch. The day will conclude with a champagne reception, hot buffet and awards presentation.
