Very comfortable and cosy former station waiting room, renovated to a very high standard. The cottage has oil central heating and a small private garden.
For many years the cottage served as the waiting room and ticket office when the Border Counties Railway Line was in operation. The line closed to passengers in 1956 and closed as a goods train service in 1958.
Situated in the heart of Kielder forest and very close to Kielder water, the accommodation is surrounded by beautiful countryside. By night we are home to the dark skies, where you can expect views of a star studded show from the cottage. Kielder Observatory is just a short drive away if you'd like to learn more about the International Dark Sky Park in Northumberland.
Excellent for walking, cycling, wildlife and all country pursuits. Easy access to the new Lakeside Way trail offering 27 miles of wonderful walking and cycling around Kielder Water and Forest Park.
