Tower Knowe shop open daily from 10am - 5pm. Please check for winter opening times.

Best for: finding out what there is to do.

A great place to discover the area's rich history - check out the interactive exhibition on the Dam and how it was built . It's also a good way to find out what you can do and where.

Come here to:

Café on the Water

Café on the Water sits on our sister site, Tower Knowe. It is about a ten minute drive from Kielder Waterside, a stop on the Osprey Ferry and is on the Lakeside Way.

The café is perfect for a quick or light bite or a snack. We have a selection of hot and cold drinks plus savoury and sweet options for you to pick from. We can definitely recommend the homemade ice cream although it is hard to pick just one flavour – you will want them all! Sitting on the edge of the lake the views are spectacular.

The café is particularly popular during the day with people who are out and about. Whether it be cyclists or walkers who want a break from the Lakeside Way, explorers from the ferry or people stopping off on their way somewhere else there is something for everyone.

Monday to Saturday 10.00am until 5.00pm
Sunday’s 10.00am until 5.00pm
