Kielder Water is the largest man-made lake in northern Europe with a surface area of over 11 square kilometres and enough water to give everyone on the planet about seven gallons of water.
As an operational reservoir access and usage must be limited but water activities such as canoeing, sailing, and water skiing are provided (seasonally) by professional clubs and Calvert Kielder. All must be pre-booked in advance.

Ferry
The "Osprey" ferry takes a scenic cruise around Kielder Water, where you can view the surroundings from a different perspective and enjoy onboard freshly ground coffee and other refreshments (cash only purchases).
Seating is in the heated viewing gallery or step onto our open-air aft deck to enjoy the fresh air and uninterrupted views. There are toilet facilities onboard.
Please note: Sailings need a minimum of 6 passengers and cannot operate in high winds. In the event of cancellations, pre-booked customers will be contacted.
