Group Learning and School Visits

Kielder Water and Forest Park (KW&FP) is quite literally on a breath-taking scale and provides an experience for groups like no other. Whether it is adrenaline seeking outdoor pursuits – both land based and water based – or stimulating educational experiences to learn more about forests and the wildlife within them, KW&FP has something to offer everyone.

A number of organisations offer a broad range of both formal (curriculum-linked) and informal outdoor learning for children and young people of all ages and abilities within the park, many providing accommodation for multi-night stopovers. All are established in their field and provide professional, qualified teachers and leaders to make the experience of learning in KW&FP a safe and unforgettable one.

Kielder Water & Forest Park Development Trust has worked in collaboration with a range of partners to develop this new one-stop online resource where you can find out about learning activities at Kielder, from half-day sessions to field trips and residential stays over one or more nights with on-site accommodation. The organisations featured on these pages offer a vast range of activities and visits designed to build knowledge, skills and confidence and/or complement and enhance national curriculum teaching and learning. Please contact them direct for further information and to make any bookings.
